It's not often that I post twice in one day, but Delia is always doing something intriguing. So, I stole from the Kentucky Wild Mudcat Woman who stole it from someone else! (How do you find these wonderful rabbit trails??)
This is writing related. I am having an issue with my name. There are many out there doing writerly things with my name who are not me. Now, I have a perfectly great name, but it can get confusing. So, I'm in search of a pseudonym for my fiction. I think I have one(which I'm stealing from my great-great-great-great grandmother,) but I'm waiting until I get ready to submit my proposal. Wasn't it Shakespeare who said "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?" I suppose. But a rose named Crystal needs to distinguish herself from the pack of writers!
Look up your name:

That's just too cool!! However, I have to say you are one of a kind.
That is so cool Crystal, thanks for sharing the web site with us.
I found out there are only 6 people with my name!
Sheryl :)
Wow! That's a LOT of people with your name! Now we just gotta figure out how to make them give it back!
LOL! (All of you...)
This has totally derailed me today. Thank you, Miss Delia.
Wow! Cris, now I understand why this has been such a dilemna for you. There are only 31 people with my name. From a google search I see I share it with a city clerk in Burlington Vermont! Too funny!
I always wonder what the people are like who share my name. I know about 3 of them because I have read their stuff. I find it interesting what you all have found out about your name.
I do have a cousin who named his little girl (who is now grown) Crystal Warren. He is my dad's nephew. The cousin and I grew up together, but I never went by Crystal with those relatives. It was weird to have someone in our own family named the same as me, though by that time I had gotten married.
Anyway, my Grandmother Warren wished I was named after her mother, Sallie Mae. My mom's niece was named Sally Jo, so I'm glad I'm not a Sallie. (She's a published writer.) I never knew a single Crystal growing up, so this is really weird to run across so many Crystals.
Cool link, Delia.
Our family tends to re-cycle a name a lot too. My Grandma, one of my sisters, and my cousin are all named Lena. My Great-Grandma, my other grandmother, my Mama, my mama's cousin, AND one of my cousins all have the name Plina. And Mae is a common middle name in our family! I'm not too fond of my name, but I'm thankful that Mama decided to name me something different! Family get-togethers are CRAZY with all those people with the same names!!!
